The Activities of DAK-E IT

The focus areas of DAK-E IT are:

Sentinel Data Capture

• Development of the IT programme in cooperation with ACURE/IBM.
   
• Development of feedback reports created in collaboration with medical consultants who focus on quality development in their own practice.
   
• Daily support of GPs (telephone and mail).
   

DAMD – Danish General Practice Database 

• Daily operation of the database – report generation, safety, etc.
   
• The processing of researchers applications for anonymous data extraction from DAMD for research projects that are of interest to general practice.
   

ICPC-2-DK 

• Structured update of the ICPC diagnosis classification. DAK-E IT has an ICPC consultant engaged in the international co-operation in the field (WICC).
   
• Implementation of ICPC-2-DK in the 12 electronic health record systems used in general practice in Denmark.
   
• Organization of meetings where representatives of the regional ICPC groups exchange ideas in order to motivate GPs to use ICPC coding in their daily work.
