The foundation has as its purpose to support and fund nationwide quality improvement in general practice.

The work is based on the Danish Healthcare Quality Programme made by IKAS, the Danish Institute for Quality and Accreditation in Healthcare.

There are statutes and rules of procedures for KIF.
